Debra Sue Young

Debra Sue Sigmon Young, 63, of Bassett, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, July 4, 2024. Debra was born March 10, 1961, in Rocky Mount, Virginia, to the late Marvin Mansfield Sigmon and Eva Velda Cox Sigmon.In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her brother, Jimmy Sigmon.Debra was a faithful Christian lady. She was a 1979 graduate of Bassett High School. She found her true calling while employed at Blue Ridge as an LPN, where she loved working with the elderly. She loved her family, grand kids, and her puppy dogs, Gracie and Chloe. She loved life and was always there for her family no matter the need. Debra never had an unkind word to speak, nor a complaint and she always had a smile on her face, no matter the circumstances.She is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Billy Wayne Young; daughter, Donna Sebastian (Jeff) of Roanoke; son Donald Young of Ridgeway; grandchildren, Katelyn Lynskey (Adam), Tyler Sebastian (Cherrish), and Cheyenne Sabastian; great grandchildren, Elijah Lynskey and Maverick Lynskey; sisters Brenda Lackey (Curtis) of Rocky Mount and Melissa Sigmon of Bassett; brother, Cecil Sigmon (LaDonna) of Bassett.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
