Deloris Austin Pugh

Deloris Austin Pugh, 90, of Salem passed away on July 9, 2023 at her residence.

A native of Virginia she was the wife of the late Billy L. Pugh and the daughter of Robert (Gus) Austin and Anna (Della) Austin, both deceased. She was a member of Seneca Baptist Church where she helped with vacation bible school. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, and watching birds. Deloris had a deep love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Diana P. Roberts; grandsons, Austin L. Roberts and Mark A. Roberts and wife Jessica; and great grandchildren, Jacob M. Roberts and Joseph D. Roberts.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Gary D. Pugh; and siblings, Robert (Bob) Austin, George Austin, James Austin, Holmes (Cotton) Austin, and Irene Wheeler.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home in Salem at 1:00 pm with Pastor Greg Irby officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
