Delphine Pannell Coles

Delphine Pannell Coles, 85, of Roanoke went home to be with Jesus, Sunday, October 2, 2022.  She was preceded   in death by her parents, William McKinnley and Nancy Pannell; son, James "Jimmy" Coles; daughter, Bridgett Coles; and her brother and sisters.

Delphine was a member of Calvary Chapel in Roanoke where she loved serving the Lord as an usher/greeter.  She loved talking with people and had a special way of making them feel welcomed.

 She retired from the Claims Department with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Surviving are her son, Kenneth Coles; grandchldren, Corina Coles, Taylor Coles, and James D. "JD" Coles; one great grandchild; brother-in-law,  Leonard Luster; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers, Uche Elech, Richard and Faye Vucich, and Doug and Helen Frederick.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Meals on Wheels Program or to Calvary Chapel.

A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Electric Road Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home 3912 Electric Road by the Rev.
