Donald “Dexter” Lee Coleman, 65, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024. He was born December 17, 1958, to the late Cecil Coleman and Ocie Justus Coleman.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Dolly Humphrey, Florence Hankins, and Linda Viers; brothers, Bobby Coleman and Darrell Coleman.Donald was a member of Calvary’s Hill Church of Martinsville. He enjoyed riding his horse, hunting, fishing, and riding his four-wheeler. He was always the life of the party and loved his family.He is survived by daughters, Corrie Utt (Billy), Jennifer McClenney (Michael), Angela Dormer (Clint), and Shelby Coleman; son Adam Turner; sisters, Carol Martin (Dale), Teresa Eble (Tim), and Pamela Coleman; brothers, Ronald Coleman, Robert Coleman (Sharon), Kenneth “Toby” Coleman (Cindy), and Arland Coleman; grandchildren, Danielle Ridgeway (Xavier), Kingslei Tarpley, Sean McClenney, and Lillian J. Turner; one great grandchild, Jayceon Ridgeway, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.The funeral will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 4:30 at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial to follow at Lester/Coleman Family Cemetery, 2780 Muddy Fork Road, Bassett, Virginia, 24055.
