Donald “Donnie” Lee Wade, Sr., 67, of Axton, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024. He was born December 27, 1956, in West Virginia, to the late William David Wade and Sylvia Johnson Wade.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Wade.Donnie was dedicated to his work and worked many years in the construction field. In his free time, you would find him gardening or relaxing in the great outdoors, hunting and fishing. His most treasured moments were those spent caring for his mother and time spent with his grandchildren.He is survived by son, Donnie Wade, Jr. (Nicole); grandchildren, Ethan Wade, Tyler Wade, Brayden Wade, and Katelyn Wade.A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Danville Memorial Gardens with Pastor Lem Hardison officiating.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
