Donald Edward Tipton

Donald Edward Tipton, 63, of Vinton, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Tipton; and his brother, Willie Tipton.

Donald was proud of his Native American heritage and had a lifelong love of motorcycles. He lived life on his own terms and brought laughter, stubbornness, and love to those around him. As his daughter Jes fondly put it, “He was an a$$hole, but he was our a$$hole.”

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jes Tipton; his son, Donnie Tipton; sisters, Barbara Caldwell, Virginia Gillespie, and Bootsie Tipton; brother, Joseph Tipton; grandchildren, Lyrik Tipton-Baker and Kolton Tipton; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend and faithful furbaby, Dribbles.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Lotz Funeral Home in Roanoke. Interment will be private.
