Donna R. Stanley
Donna Robinson Stanley, age 62, passed away on July 5th 2024. She was a beloved mother, wife, gaga, and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Donna was born on May 17th, 1962 in Roanoke, VA and lived in Vinton, VA where she graduated from William Byrd High school. She went on to attend nursing school at Virginia Western Community College and received her license in practical nursing. During her career she found a passion working in the cardiac catheterization lab, geriatrics, and later started her own home health agency, Changing Seasons. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.
More than anything, Donna was a devoted Mother, Wife, and Gaga. She loved spending time with family, especially her two grandchildren who she lived with the last year of her life. She loved getting in the floor to play with them, making silly noises and faces at them, and spoiling them with toys and sweet treats. She showed unconditional love to her daughter and husband and was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement.
In her free time, Donna enjoyed bird watching, gardening, watching movies, playing cards with friends and listening to music. She was always eager to share her knowledge and spend time with friends and family.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Scott Stanley, her daughter, Kay Arrington and son in law Jacob, her grandchildren, Berkley and Ellie Arrington, father, Thomas Robinson, step mother, Molly Robinson, brother, Andrew Robinson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her kindness and personality will be missed by all who knew her.
In her early years, Donna proudly served in the Vinton First Aid Crew. I lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the crew.
