Donny Harold Stevenson

Donny Harold Stevenson, 83, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Donny was born on November 1, 1940, in Buchanon County, VA to the late Ocie Faye Clevinger Stevenson and the late Earl Stevenson.

Donny was of the Baptist Faith. He worked for many years as the lead electrical engineer at Dupont Corporation, previous to his retirement. He was a member of V.F.W. and the Jaycee’s. He also was a pilot who had a special love for Aviation.

Donny is survived by a sister; Shirley Fain of Danville, VA; a brother; Pete Stevenson of Danville, VA; three nieces; April Stevenson Campbell, Sandy Higdon, and Sharon Young; and four nephews; Stevie, Jamie, Dwayne Akers, and Jody Akers.

In addition to his parents, Donny was predeceased by a brother; James E. Stevenson Sr. and two sisters; Jean Akers and Ruby Stevenson.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Danville V.F.W. Post, at 275 V. F. W. Drive, Danville, VA 24540.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 2:00pm at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA with Pastor Bob Yeaman officiating.
