Doris Eanes Wilkerson

Doris Eanes Wilkerson, 77, of Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 16, 2026.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born November 10, 1948, in Danville, Virginia to the late Elmittie Coble Eanes and the late Stuart Edward Eanes, Sr. She was married to the late Jerry Duane Wilkerson, her loving husband of 57 years.

Doris was of the Christian Faith, and was a member of Holland Road Baptist Church for over fifty years, where she was a member of the Ladies Fellowship, proudly sang in the choir and served as assistant director for Vacation Bible School. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and created a loving home. She worked in banking for Bank of America for over thirty years prior to retirement.

She is survived by a daughter, Annette Doll and husband Ted of Richmond, VA; a son, Frederick Wilkerson and wife Elisa of Danville, VA; and seven grandchildren, Morgan Doll, Ashton Doll, Catherine Doll, Chandler Doll, Bella Wilkerson, Paul Wilkerson, and Luke Wilkerson; two brothers, Jimmy Eanes and wife Frances and Stuart “Buddy” Eanes, Jr. and wife Eileen; and her sisters-in-law, Ravonda Davis and husband Ken and Kathy Wilkerson and late husband Dan. She is also survived by numerous loving family members.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her brother Bobby Eanes and brother-in-law, Daniel Wilkerson.

A funeral service for Mrs. Wilkerson will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services – West End Chapel with Fred Thurman officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. also at West End Chapel. Internment will follow at Highland Burial Park.
