Doris Harshbarger

Doris Harshbarger, 80, of Salem passed away at her residence on January 18, 2024.

Doris was born, raised, and lived in Salem. She was the wife of George Harshbarger, who survives, and the daughter of Virgie Halsey and Fred Halsey, both deceased. Doris hand made quilts that won many awards. Her crafting would put a smile on the faces of those who saw them. Most of her family have a touch of her memory in their homes through her crafting. 

In addition to her husband those left to cherish her memory are her son, Steve Harshbarger and wife Christina; grandchildren, Austin Harshbarger and wife Brianna and Bethany Meador and husband Kenny; two great grandchildren, Azlin Meador and Cameron Bailey; her sister, Linda Dillon; and her brother, Elbert Roberts.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Pastor Brian Geiser officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.
