On Wednesday, April 4, 2024 our precious mother, Dorothy Catherine Smith went home to be with the Lord, at the age of 95 years old. She devoted her life to God and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Phillip and Bessie (Hodges) Horne and her siblings.
Surviving are her husband of 75 years, Treaver Hale Smith, Sr.; three sons, Treaver Hale Smith, Jr. (Marsha), Larry Smith (Karen), and Timothy Smith (Lynne); five grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Lotz Funeral Home in Salem is handling arrangements, and a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm. No visitation will be held by her wishes. The graveside burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Rd, Roanoke, VA 24017.
