Dorothy Davies Sullivan
Dorothy May Davies Sullivan, age 100 of Rocky Mount, Virginia peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2026. Born on July 10, 1925, in New Jersey to the late Frank and Kathryn Davies, she lived a full and meaningful century, witnessing a world of change with grace, resilience and quiet strength. She was known for her warm heart, generosity and unwavering kindness towards everyone she met. Dorothy worked in The New Jersey Defense Plant during World War II, then New Jersey Bell Telephone Company for 33 years. Her and her late husband Dennis F. Sullivan of 45 years moved to Lewes, Delaware until 1995, then moved to Rocky Mount, Virginia. She was a member of Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church. She sang in the choir and was part of Women of the Church Circle. Though she had no children of her own, she held a special place in the lives of her nieces, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her dear church family. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and his wife Alice, Donald and his wife Marjorie. There will be no services in Rocky Mount. Interment will be held in New Jersey. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
