Dorothy "Deanne" A. Custer

Dorothy “Deanne” Custer, 99, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 3, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Willie Aldridge; husband, Joseph Custer; sisters, Bertie Vance, Neta Miller, and Lorene Trent; brothers, Wink Aldridge; and Tops Aldridge.

Deanne is survived by her son, Joseph Custer Jr. (Marilyn); daughter, Trina Brumfield (Mike); beloved granddaughter, Kristen Childers (David); brother, Vernon Aldridge; and her dog, Lilly. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother “Memaw”.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 6:00-7:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home (Peters Creek). A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11:00am at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to 9th Street Church of the Brethren.
