Dotty Fisher Smith

Dotty Fisher Smith, 76, widow of James N. Smith, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024. She was the daughter of the late William C. and Dorothy Wray Fisher.

Dotty was a long -time member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano or organ and singing.

She will be missed and remembered by her brother, Stephen W. Fisher; sister-in-law, Nancy English; nieces, Carolyn Williams and husband Ben and their children Grace and Claire, and Lindsey Fisher and her son Andrew Fisher; nephews, Michael English, and Robert Fisher and his children Ben Fisher, Matt Fisher, and Jasper Fisher; as well as a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Gideon’s International at www.gideons .org

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 12 pm at Simpson Funeral Home, Peters Creek Chapel, The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. (540)366-0707.
