Douglas Allen Showers

Douglas Allen Showers, age 74, of 6 Freds Lane, Fishersville, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clifton Forge, Virginia.
Doug was born on July 13, 1949 in San Diego, California to the late James Douglas and Barbara Jeanette Sutton Showers. He was a self-employed auto body detailer and restorer. He enjoyed the restoration of cars and also fishing, drawing, painting, and gaming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Showers; two sisters, April Jeannette “Jeannie” Showers and Carol Lynn Showers; and a brother, Jimmy Edward Showers.
He is survived by a daughter, Tina Adkins and husband Lionel of Murfreesboro, TN; three sons, Cody “Allen” Showers and wife Christina of Fishersville, Chopper Showers and wife Lisa of Bridgewater, and Joshua Showers of Mount Crawford; a sister, Connie Snow; a brother, Dallas A. Showers and wife Wendy; eleven grandchildren, Lucas, Noah, Erica, Shana, Logan, Bryceton, Elyssa, Ragin, Cameron, Dae, and Destanee; seven great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law who was also a special caregiver, Donna Harrelson; and a special friend, Keith Loker.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There are no services planned at this time.
