Douglas Mcarthur Campbell

Douglas McArthur Campbell, age 83 passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Maude Campbell; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Roy Furrow; nephew, David Furrow; and special sister-in-law, Nina Wallace. Douglas is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Barbara Hicks Campbell; nephew, Gary Furrow; nieces, Betsy Music and Donna Heidelback; special friend, Donald Gordon, along with many other special friends and neighbors.

Doug loved animals and took in many strays over the years. He was always pulling pranks on friends and telling jokes. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965 and served in Vietnam.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2025 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
