Dreama Juanita Nicely Simpson
Dreama Juanita Nicely Simpson, age 82, of 4813 Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Saturday, September 14, 2024 at her residence.
Dreama was born on December 16, 1941 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Todd and Mary Lucy Nicely. She was a technician in the Audio-Video Department for Dabney S. Lancaster Community College and was a member of Lone Star Advent Christian Church. She loved gardening, going to the beach, and watching college sports, especially football and basketball. Most of all, she loved being with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lee Simpson, and a brother, Nelson Nicely.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Paige Puckett and husband Ray of Daleville, and Heather Simpson of Cloverdale; a son, Keith Simpson and wife Jeannie of Clifton Forge; four brothers, Burton Eddy Nicely, Cletus Nicely and wife Jenny, Randy Nicely and wife Joy, and Michael Nicely and wife Sherry, all of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Andrew Puckett, Adam Puckett and wife Lindsey, Kelcy Walton, Molly Walton and fiancée Andrew, and Sara Walton; two step grandchildren, Crissy Lowe and husband Kevin and Ron Hosey and wife Lindsey; four step great grandchildren, Brooks Lowe, Reid Lowe, Ava Hosey, and Graham Hosey; a brother-in-law, Charles “Chink” Simpson and a special sister-in-law, Catherine Simpson of Selma; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Vincent Hartford officiating. Interment will take place in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from friends and family attending the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
