Earl Coy Joyce

Earl Coy Joyce, 61, of Patrick Springs, Virginia, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was born September 5, 1963, in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Coy Abraham Joyce and Mary Etta Dillon Joyce.

Earl had a passion for fishing and truly valued the time spent with family and friends. He had a green thumb and took great joy in nurturing his plants. He was known for his sense of humor, always bringing laughter to those around him. His love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was immeasurable.

He is survived by his wife Brenda “Carol” Joyce; one son, Justin Coy Joyce (Candace); one stepson, Joshua Mickles (Mikayla); one grandchild, Brooklyn Joyce; and five step-grandchildren, Ashlynn Paige Mickles, Christian Blake Mickles, Hunter Lee Mickles, Landon Skyler Mickles, and Damon Blaze Mickles; two step great grandchildren, Taylon and Tylynn; three brothers, Winifred Joyce (Jule), Hanky Joyce and David Joyce; and one sister, Ann Plaster (Garland).

The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor David Bishop officiating. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
