Edward "E.L." Lee Haymore

Mr. Edward Lee “E.L.” Haymore, 81, of Dobson, NC, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024. He was born February 22, 1942, to the late Sam Hasten and Isabelle Branch Haymore. Mr. Haymore built his barber shop in 1968 and cut hair for 28 years until he decided to open his own plumbing business where he worked until he passed. E.L. was a faithful Christian and member of Salem Fork Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory is his brother and sister-in-law, Terry Haymore and Donna; sister-in-law, Becky Haymore; nieces and their spouses, Candace Burcham, Molly Fisher, Toby White, Dacia Benton, Patricia “Sissy” Levy, Gretchen Mills, Jimmie Blevins, and Shannon Hawkins. In addition to his parents, E.L. was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Delores “Nora” Mast Haymore; and brother, Hasten “Gray” Haymore. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Salem Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Joplin officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Salem Fork Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salem Fork Baptist Church building fund.
