Eldon Ray Painter

Mr. Eldon Ray Painter, age 68 of Hillsville, VA, passed away on Friday January 26, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born October 22, 1955, in Patrick County to the late Felin and Glaspa Quesinberry Painter. Mr. Painter was a well-known farmer in his community. Mr. Painter is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon Kay Ayers Painter of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lynette Painter, and Robbie and Chelsea Painter; six grandchildren, DJ and Cheyenne Painter, Heidi Painter, Hadley Painter, Hollin Painter, Jesse and Amanda Hamm, and Kimmie Hamm; four great-grandchildren, Lexi, Maverick, Luca and Ember; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Tommy Shepherd; aunts, Avis Light and Ilene Bolt; and several other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Painter was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Kaye Painter. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 30, 2024, at 2:00pm at Bell Spur Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Dan Puckett and Rev. Tommy Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Painter Family Cemetery. The Painter family will receive friends Monday night January 29, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00pm at Bell Spur Primitive Baptist Church.
