Eleanor Wyatt Reynolds

Eleanor Reynolds, 88, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Eleanor was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on March 16, 1936 to the late Pearl A. Wyatt and the late Charles Wyatt. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Mr. Lawrence “Pete” Reynolds.

Eleanor was a loving homemaker, and helped on the family tobacco farm for many years. She also retired from Pittsylvania County School System as a school bus aid. She had a special love for playing ball at Callands School in her younger years, and was famous for her chocolate pie and potato salad.

Eleanor is survived by two daughters; Debra R. Reynolds and husband Andy, and Patricia R. Walker, both of Chatham, VA; two sons; Tony L. Reynolds and wife Debbie and Kevin and Lindsey both of Chatham, VA; five grandchildren; Lisa, Leslie, Denise (Ryan), Lawrence (Sarah) and Colton; six great grandchildren; Taylor, William, Travis, Lyndsey, Amber, Owen, and Alexandra; two great great grandchildren; Sarafina and Gwenivere; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was predeceased by a grandson; Wayne; and a son in law; Bobby Walker.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Reynolds Family Cemetery, 499 Triangle School Road, Chatham, VA 24531 with pastor Terry St. John officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 4-6:00pm at Hollywood Baptist Church, 6405 Callands Road, Chatham, VA 24531. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
