Elizabeth Ann Scanlin

Elizabeth Ann Scanlin, 74, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loread and Mary Alice Napier; and her brother, Charles Napier.

Elizabeth lived a quiet and gentle life, finding joy in simple pleasures and the people she loved. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she never missed an opportunity to make it special for family and friends. Whether through festive decorations, thoughtful gifts, or creating cherished holiday traditions, Elizabeth's love for Christmas reflected her generous and caring spirit.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting blankets for loved ones, coloring in her adult coloring books, and spending hours working on puzzles. These hobbies brought her peace and happiness and reflected the patience and creativity that characterized her life.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Doris Roberts; her daughters, Stacy Hollender, Bobbie Kaylor, and Mary Pruett; and her beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Amy Hollender, Courtney Kaylor, Grace Lawton, and Michael and Madalynn Bisping.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her quiet strength, thoughtful nature, and the love she shared with her family. Her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
