Elizabeth "Betsy" Hale Cohen

Elizabeth “Betsy” Hale Cohen, 71, of Blacksburg passed away on November 7, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Alice Hale and Benton Hale, and her husband Rod Cohen. She is survived by her siblings Ben Hale and John Hale, children Brandon Cohen and Chad Cohen, and grandchildren Davis Cohen and Caroline Cohen. As a 1971 Blacksburg High graduate and 1976 Virginia Tech graduate, she was an avid Hokies fan and devout member of the Methodist Church. In addition to her ties to Virginia, she spent 30 years in the Atlanta area raising her two children before returning home to Blacksburg. Memorial Service to be held on Friday, November 29 at 2pm at Blacksburg United Methodist Church (111 Church St SE, Blacksburg, VA 24060) with a reception to follow afterwards.
