Elizabeth Juanita Petercsak

Elizabeth Juanita Overton Petercsak, age 94, of 2211 Kady Day Way, Murfreesboro, TN, and formerly of Selma, Virginia died on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Creekside Assisted Living in Murfreesboro.
Elizabeth was born on May 22, 1931 in Alleghany County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Odie Lee Overton, Sr. and Madge Heron Overton. She was a homemaker throughout her life and a former secretary and events coordinator for her church, the Bible Baptist Church, in Murfreesboro. She loved to go bowling, and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and especially being a grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Joseph Petercsak, and a brother, Odie Lee "Buck" Overton, Jr..
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Trahan (James) of Murfreesboro; two sons, Steven Edward Petercsak (Mary Ann) of Milltown, NJ and Douglas Wayne Petercsak (Natalia) of Camarillo, CA; three sisters, Geraldine Dutton of Orlando, FL, Betty Lou Mitchell of Chesapeake, and Mary Sue Pullin of Selma; five grandchildren, Sherri Jones, Scott Nagy, Billy Petercsak, Steve Petercsak, and Sophia Peterscak; two great granddaughters, Madeline Jones and Ella Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Brandon Nicely officiating. Interment will immediately follow. The family will visit with friends on Saturday evening from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
