Elizabeth Marie Manns
Elizabeth Marie Manns, 76, of Henry, Virginia, transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born November 1, 1949, to the late Louella Pace Manns.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel F. Cuff; and brothers, Hodges Altory Manns and Nathaniel Manns.
Elizabeth was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School, Class of 1968. She retired after 45 years of service at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she worked in billing and coding.
A woman of faith, Elizabeth was a member of Rebirth Ministries. Her faith and love for her family were important parts of her life. She especially enjoyed attending church and looked forward to cooking every Sunday, creating meals that brought family together and made lasting memories around the table.
Elizabeth found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed walking, caring for her plants, shopping, and spending time with her family. She also loved relaxing on her back porch, where she could enjoy quiet moments and the comfort of home. Above all, Elizabeth loved her family, and the time she shared with them was among her greatest treasures.
She is survived by her daughter, Tawanna W. McMillian (Clarence); three sisters, Rosa M. Woods, Juanita M. Cuff (Dwight), and Sarah M. Davis (Warren); three brothers, Elder John L. Manns (Betty Lou), Elder Bobby R. Manns (Carolyn), and Juan Young; two grandchildren, Aymbir Manns-Massay and Miciah Pittman; and a special friend, Freddie Galloway, Jr., along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
