Elizabeth Spinks
Elizabeth Nicely Spinks, 91, of 184 Hines Avenue, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, died on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at White Sulphur Springs Center.
Mrs. Spinks was born on December 20, 1933, in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Roy J. Nicely and Mary Ann Smith Nicely, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Rodgers and Jimmy R. Spinks, Sr.; two sisters, Betty Haynes and Dorothy Rodgers; and seven brothers, James, Roy, Edward, Gordon, Luther, Paul and Robert.
Elizabeth was a member of the Whatcoat United Methodist Church. She retired from The Greenbrier after 30 years of service as a waitress.
Surviving is her son, Jimmy Spinks of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
She also leaves to cherish her memory; a special niece she thought of as a daughter, Dotty Hanshew of Hot Springs, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 14, 2025 in the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Buck Caldwell and Rev. Greg Scott officiating.
Pallbearers will be Elizabeth's nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Loving Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
