Ellen Olsen

Ellen Margaret Olsen, 76, of Rhode Island passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024.Ellen was a hardworking and generous woman who truly cared for all her loved ones. She loved cooking, traveling and went above and beyond when giving to charities. Ellen was sweet and stubborn, a true Browning family trait. No one could sway her when she set her mind on a goal to accomplish. She graduated Bayview Academy and spent 30 years working for the New England Telephone Company. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Herman Edward Olsen Jr.; parents, Joseph Browning Sr. and Margaret Browning; brother, Robert Browning.Ellen is survived by brother, Joseph Browning Jr. and his wife Linda Kinney; cousin, Chester Browning; sister-in-law, Susan Browning; special friends, Pandora and her family.The family would like to give special thanks to the Wing 1 staff at Friendship South Nursing Home for taking such good care of her.
