Elmer L. Potter

Elmer Lee Potter, 87, of Roanoke passed away on February 14, 2025 at his residence.

Elmer was born in Kentucky on March 13, 1937 to John Henry Potter and Stella Potter, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lindy. Elmer was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked hard as a roofer and brick mason for many years. Elmer was also an avid car enthusiast.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Martha Potter; four children, Junior Potter, Rex Potter, Connie Potter, and Bobby Potter; grandchildren, Joyce Ann, Jessica, Brittany, Amanda, Vanessa, Nick, John Henry, Bobbie Joe, Adam, Jolene, and Tammy; seventeen great grandchildren; his brother, Roy Douglas; five sisters, Evelyn, Lovern, Anna Ray, Barbara, and Faye; and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Wednesday February 19, 2025 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
