Elva S. Martin

Elva S. Martin, 73 of Patrick Springs, VA passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026. She was born on October 22, 1952 to the late Charles Stanley and Shirley Jessup Stanley in Patrick County. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister; Annie Gerety, step-mom, Mildred Burney Stanley.

Elva is survived by her husband; Pastor Greg Martin, sister; Janice Lawson of Ridgeway and a brother; Braxton Burney (Vicki) of High Point, North Carolina.

Mrs. Martin was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Elva was very active in different ministries of the Church. She taught Sunday School, She was the Youth Director and she also played the piano and sang for the church.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM at The Norris Stuart Funeral Chapel. There will be a visitation on Monday July 20th from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday July 21st prior to the service from 1-2 PM in the Stuart Chapel.

Mrs. Martin will be laid to rest at The Patrick Memorial Gardens in Stuart.
