Ernest Lucas

Ernest Lucas, Jr., 52, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born January 31, 1970 in Maryland, to Doris Fields Lucas and the late Ernest Lucas, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sons, Brandon and Ernest Lucas. He had been an automobile mechanic for 25 years, and attended Hope in Christ Apostolic Church and Kings Way Baptist Church in Baltimore. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, cooking, and drag racing, and loved spending time with family. Ernest is survived by his mother; his wife, Wendella Millner Lucas; daughters, Briana Booth (Jeremy), Zakkiyah Lucas, Kiara Lucas, Takiria Lucas, Kaniyah Lucas, Danylah Millner, Tonydia Millner-Moore, and Ar’landyah Leftwich; sons, Jonathan Edmondson, Samade Lucas, Rahmel Lucas, Tah’leck Lucas, Brandion Lucas and Jah’key Lucas; brothers, Larry Lucas (Yvonne) and Derwin Lucas; and a host of grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday, October 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Henry Hairston officiating. The visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.
