Esther Lucille Weston Watson

Esther Lucille Weston Watson, 101, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024. She was a daughter of the late Mitchell Weston and Alice Williams Weston. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd S. Watson. Esther was a long-life member of Bonsack United Methodist Church.Surviving are her children, Elane Watson, Roger Watson (Deb) and Bill Watson (Susan); grandchildren, Ryan Watson, Nycole Herbison, Heather Murphy and Bill Wild; and 11 great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Bonsack United Methodist Church, 4493 Bonsack Road NE, Roanoke, Va. 24012 or Gideons International, P.O. Box 1291, Salem, Va. 24153.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, September 23, 2024, at Lotz Funeral Home, 305 East Washington Ave., Vinton. A celebration of Esther’s life will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, September 24, at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum with Pastor Scott Murphy officiating.
