Evelyn Clinebell Hall

Evelyn Clinebell Hall, 96, of Vinton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

She was born on June 20, 1929, in Arcadia, Virginia, to the late Eugene and Bessie O. Clinebell.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rufus Hall; her daughter, Brenda Saunders; her grandson, Stephen Turner; her granddaughter, Kimberly Michael; her brothers, Carl, Wesley, Raymond, Harold, Linwood, and Floyd; and her sisters, Elsie Cottrell, Eva McCall, Blanche Leonard, and Georgie Flowers.

Evelyn was a longtime and devoted member of Midland Baptist Church. She deeply cherished time spent with her extremely large family, always placing them above everything else. She also took great joy in beating them at croquet whenever she had the chance. Evelyn also spent much of her time completing word search’s, having to do so in one sitting.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Carol Potts (Wilson), Judy Brogan (Pat), and Jo Ann Jamison (Mike); nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren, as well as many special nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 11:00 am until noon. A memorial service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton at noon.
