Evelyn Tenney Prillaman

Evelyn Tenney Prillaman, 88, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Mulberry Creek Nursing Home. She was born April 17, 1935 in Henry, Virginia. She had worked for Martinsville City School System in the cafeteria. She was a member of Chatham Heights Christian Church and enjoyed keeping children. Evelyn was a good Christian lady who loved everyone and was the best mama ever.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, William David Prillaman; son, Ricky Prillaman; sister, Mae Tenney Bullock; brothers, Curtis Barker and Bob Barker; and sons-in-law, Jimmy Elgin and Danny Willard.

She is survived by daughters, Faye Elgin, Wanda P. Willard and Lisa Corns (Tim); son, Larry Prillaman (Kathy); grandchildren, Alex and Stephanie Elgin, Kim and Robby Deal, Brad and Katie Prillaman, Elizabeth and Josh Bernard, Michelle and Scott Errichetti and Michael and Caitlyn Conner; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 2:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Kelly Ratcliff officiating. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Ms. Evelyn’s home.
