Everett La France
Everett Blease La France, Jr., age 58, of Ridge Road, Millboro, Virginia died Monday, June 9, 2025 at UVA Hospital, Charlottesville.
He was born December 19, 1966 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late Everett Blease La France, Sr., and Sandra Gail Glimp. He was the manager of the farm, La Finca in Millboro. He was a member of Millboro Christian Church, and a volunteer firefighter for Millboro Fire Department.
Everett was known throughout Millboro for his generous spirt and unwavering dedication to others. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he made it a personal mission to support friends, neighbors, and even strangers in times of need. Whether volunteering, cooking, or quietly offering help behind the scenes, Everett’s kindness left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by a son, Everett Blease La France, III and wife, Lina of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Emelyn Carmenate and wife, Shea of Sebring, FL; three sisters, Debrah La France-Iglesias and husband, Jose of Miami, FL, Julia La France-Whisenhunt and husband, John of Cope, SC, Teresa La France and fiancée, David Harley of Cope, SC; three grandchildren, Everett Blease La France IV, Anthony, Andrew; nieces and nephews, Shawn Fernandez and wife, Diana, Anthony Behles and wife, Melissa, Matthew Behles and wife, Shelby and Thomas Godowns.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 2:00PM in Millboro Christian Church, Millboro with Pastor Lloyd Via officiating. Entombment will take place in the mausoleum on the family farm in Millboro. Pallbearers will be past and present members of the Millboro Volunteer Fire Association, Billy Grimm, Tuck Grimm, J.J Ingram, Dylan Randozzo, Ernie Deel, Michael Forbes, Kaiden Grimm, and Jeff Grimm. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at Millboro Christian Church.
