Forest Donald Henley

Forest Donald Henley, Sr., 82, of Collinsville, VA passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026. He was born on October 27, 1943, to the late Harden Sherman Henley and Opal Henley. He is preceded in death by his brother, Harold Henley; brothers-in-law, Cliff Surratt, Don Crosa, and Bobby Trail.

Mr. Henley was a member of Collinsville Church of the Brethren and was a carpenter at Jessup Furniture, E.I. DuPont, and Shenandoah.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Jean Davis Henley; son, Forest “Don” Donald Henley, II (Deborah); sisters, Lois Surratt, Shirley Crosa, and Marie Trail; grandchildren, Forest Donald “Trey” Henley, III, and Kayla Elizabeth Henley (Justin Hill). He is also survived by his very special pet, Pearl.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Collinsville Church of the Brethren. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Collinsville Covenant Brethren Church with Pastor Roy McVey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
