Frances Pyrant Loftis Lewis

Frances Pyrant Lewis, age 101 of Providence, North Carolina passed away November 4, 2024, at Riverside Health and Rehab. Mrs. Lewis was born June 20, 1923, in Caswell County to the late Maude Buck Pyrant and Andrew Pyrant. She was married to the late Walter Lewis.

She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and an inspector with Dan River Mills before her retirement. She loved gardening and in the latter years, she was a caretaker. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Welch; her son, Page Loftis, and his wife Hazel; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her first husband, Page "Buck" Loftis, two daughters, Jeanette Stowe, and Kaye Perkins; two sisters, Thelma Dix and Ruby Johnson; and four brothers, Raymond Pyrant, Joffrey Pyrant, Aubrey Pyrant, and George Pyrant.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, Virginia with Pastor Mitch Cifers officiating. Burial will follow the service at Schoolfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Frances Lewis.
