Frank Jesse Aaron

Frank Aaron Jr., a lifelong resident of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Frank was born in Roanoke and proudly called it home his entire life. He attended both Chowan College and Roanoke College, experiences that helped shape his strong work ethic and lifelong love of learning.

Frank dedicated many years of service to Norfolk Southern, where he was known as a hardworking and dependable employee. He retired more than 30 years ago, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, integrity, and pride in a job well done.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gladys, who passed away in 2021, and his great-granddaughter, Alora Divine, who passed away in July 2025.

Frank is survived by his only daughter and her husband, Stephanie and Joe, who were the center of his world. He also leaves behind four grandchildren—Brittani, Alexis, Morgan, and Joseph—as well as four great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.
