Frank Nance
Frankie Marion Nance Sr., 78, of Fieldale, passed away peacefully at his home September 8, 2026 surrounded by the comfort and familiarity of the place he loved.
Frankie was born on June 1, 1948, to the late Ruben Nance and Mary Whitlock Nance. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose warm heart and genuine spirit touched the lives of many. He was a man who cherished his family deeply and found great happiness in spending time with those he loved.
In addition to his parents, Frankie was preceded in death by his sister, Ralph Olene Moore; his brother, Wiley Nance; and his two sons, Reuben Nance and Matthew Nance.
Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, Deborah Watkins; his daughter, Toni Worley (Scott); his son, Frankie Nance Jr.; daughter-in-law, Marsha Nance; and his special niece, Nina Lemons. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Luke Nance, Logan Nance, Scotty Worley, Zoe Nance, and Tyler Nance; two great-grandchildren, Rilynn Nance and Cason Nance; sister-in-law, Becky Nance; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.
Frankie attended Crosspoint Church and found comfort in his faith and the fellowship of others. He was a man who knew how to enjoy life and treasured the moments that made it special. He loved the beach, spending time in his garden, and especially his two beloved dogs, Susie and Henry, who were faithful companions and a very special part of his life. Frankie also looked forward to dancing on Friday nights, where he could enjoy good music, laughter, and the company of others.
Above all, Frankie loved his family. The time he spent with them was among his greatest joys, and the love he shared with them will remain a lasting part of their lives. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his memory will live on through the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
Funeral services will be held at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M., with a Memorial Service following at 1:00 P.M.
Frankie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, family, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest peacefully, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
