Fred Lee Moore, Jr. Obituary Fred “Lee” Moore, Jr., 65, of Roanoke, Va, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after many serious and lengthy health battles. Lee was born to Pat Moore and the late Fred Moore, Sr. in Shelby, NC. In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving and caregiving wife of almost 12 years, Audra (Freeman) Moore; his daughter and apple of his eye, Meredith Lex and husband, Andrew; he is also blessed with two grandchildren, Charlotte Leigh Lex, Carson Andrew Lex, and another Lex grandchild to arrive shortly; sister, Karen Hartman and husband, Ben; nephew, John Hartman; in-laws, and many cousins and friends. Lee, as most of his friends called him, lived a full life of adventuring, wood-working, sports, hunting, fishing, automobiles and had many lifelong talents and hobbies-especially Radford Softball. He was a true outdoorsman, craftsman, and “loved finding out what he couldn’t find within.”A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem with the Honorable +Bishop Quigg Lawrence officiating.
