Freda Joyce Brumfield

Freda Joyce Brumfield, 89, passed away on April 27, 2025. She was born on March 30, 1936.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Brumfield; her parents, Enis and Gareit Dial; and her four brothers, Glen, Norman, Lowell, and Raymond.

Freda is survived by her daughter, Sherry Brumfield; her sisters-in-law, Louise and Mary Lou; her nephew, Jeff; her cousin, Phyllis; and several other cousins.

She was blessed with devoted caregivers who meant so much to her: Belinda Sink, Roy Milliron, Rita Layne, Randy and Marilyn Woods, and Cheyanne Forson.

Freda had a deep love for animals, especially her two cats, who brought her endless comfort and joy.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday, May 5th, at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Park, with Pastor Randel Harris of Faith Baptist Church officiating.

She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Donations may be made to a local no-kill animal shelter in Freda’s memory.
