Frederick "Freddie" Sale Smith

Frederick Sale Smith, 80, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026. He was the owner of Misty Hollow Farms and attended New Hope Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry C. Smith and Ruby Evelyn Sale Smith; his sister, Julia M. Smith; and step daughter-in-law, Tammy Keith. Freddie loved his Dry Valley Farm where he spent his entire life, working, teaching, and sharing his love of farming to lots of local high school boys. He had a dairy farm for over 40 years and continued to farm until his death. He also had a Dairy Equipment business which introduced him to many farmers across the U.S. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Smith; stepsons, Darren Keith and Scott Keith (Kimberly); step grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter, Daniel, Issak, Kora, and Joshua Keith; special friends, Stephen Roop, Melissa Lucas and many more; niece, Laura Hernandez; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Graveside services will follow in Huffville Cemetery in Pilot with Pastor T. Michael Bond and Pastor Leon Alley officiating.
