Gary Nathaniel Waldron
Gary Nathaniel Waldron, 71, passed away Tuesday September 30, 2025.
Gary became a Certified Millwright and Copper Smith. He could work on any old school vehicle sent his way but would flat out refuse to touch anything new. When he wasn’t covered in grease he enjoyed sailing on his sailboat around Carvins Cove, playing pool and Classic Car Shows. Every night like clockwork he watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and on the weekends, it was Green Bay Packers games and Nascar races. He also had a love for trains like no other. He was especially fond of the iconic Norfolk & Western Class A Steam Locomotives 1218 and 611. Keeping up with their every update and movements. If they were rolling into a station nearby, he was there.
Gary is survived by his Mother Mable Dobyns, Brother Randy Waldron, Sister JoAnn Waldron, 2 Daughters Melissa Waldron (Adrian) and Sabrina Waldron-Yocum (Chris), 5 Grandchildren Myzie, Da’Vonte, Jocelyn, Jay, and Jaxon. 4 Great Grandchildren Legacy, Oaklyn, Kalilah, and Vallen. 2 Nephews Chris Kane and Ethan Waldron who were always there to help with anything. Many more Nieces, Nephews, and Friends because he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his Father David Waldron, Sister Donna Sue McCain, Brother Michael Waldron, and infant Daughter Chialynn Heather Waldron.
Gary was not a formal kind of Man and wouldn’t have wanted all the fuss of a formal funeral. He wanted everyone to be together, to laugh, eat something good and remember his shenanigans. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. Please contact them for further information.
