George Thomas Musgrove

George Thomas Musgrove, Sr., 83, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was born May 15, 1940, in Sandy Level, Virginia, to the late Charlie Musgrove and Eva Witcher Musgrove.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Angela Musgrove; sisters, Susan Musgrove, and Elaine Musgrove; brothers, Charlie Musgrove, and Freddie Musgrove.

George was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and was a graduate of Northside High School in Gretna, Virginia. He was the head Maitre’d at the Sheraton-Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC, for thirty-seven years. George loved traveling and visited all the states except for Alaska with his wife and children. He loved fishing, cooking, entertaining, coaching and playing softball, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Veronica Foster Musgrove; daughters, Ashley Loucks (Michael), Ronetta Harris (Bryon), Vickie Musgrove, and Pershell Broome; son, George T. Musgrove, Jr. (Raquel); sister, Ella Musgrove; brothers, John Musgrove, Sr. twin brother of Washington, DC, Silas Musgrove (Muzell) of Java, Virginia, Jesse Musgrove of Washington, DC, and Tommy Musgrove, Sr. (Mary) of Winter Haven, Florida; grandchildren, Renod Deemer, Jr., Carter Loucks, Levi Loucks, Kendall Broome, and Shelby Broome.

The funeral will be Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 3:15 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Langston Logan officiating. Visitation will be fifteen minutes prior.
