George Thomas Underwood

George L. Underwood, 62, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. George had a long battle with cancer followed by a major stroke.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tom Underwood; sister, Missy Underwood ; brother, Douglas Underwood.

He is survived by his mother, Jane Rakes; brother, Jeff Underwood and his wife Belinda; brother, Tommy Underwood; sister, Robin Underwood.

George was a man of few words. He had a kind heart for all. He had a passion for woodworking and he could build almost anything. He was a very hard worker who had to stay busy at all times.

The family would like to say a special thank you to his friends, Kim, Kevin and Christina, Janice and her sisters, as well as so many others who prayed for him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the home of his sister, Robin Underwood, 2242 Berkley Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24015.
