Georgia Charlene Joyce

Georgia C. Joyce, 71, of Fieldale, Va. passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022. She was born February 26, 1951 in Washington County to William H. McCracken and Helen McCracken.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Christine McCracken and her brothers, Thomas, Buford, Arvin and Shields McCracken.She is survived by her husband, Willie Joyce of the home; daughters, Jackie Foley of Fieldale and Ruth Ann (Anthony) Meeks of Martinsville; son, Steven Joyce of Stuart; sisters, Dell Holt of Stanleytown, Margaret Hicks of Glade Spring, Va. and Jane Jesse of Meadowview, Va.; grandchildren, Cassidy Foley, Cody Meeks, Dylan Joyce, Trey Joyce and Sophia Joyce; great grandchild, Ava Joyce; also several special nieces and nephews.After retiring from Stanley Furniture with 40 years of service, Georgia enjoyed bowling, reading and going to the gym.A visitation will be held at Collins Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 am on Thursday, October 6, 2022. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Henry Memorial Burial Park and will be officiated by Pastor Leonard Hall. Friends may also visit the family at 216 Shadyview Road, Fieldale, Va.Pallbearers will be Anthony Meeks, Steven Joyce, Dylan Joyce, Trey Joyce, Cody Meeks and Chris Martin.Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, VA is serving the family.
