Geraldine D. Smart

Geraldine Dunford Smart, 88 of Salem, VA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 15, 1936. Geraldine was a cherished member of the Salem community, known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.

Geraldine dedicated her life to her family and community. She was a devoted wife to Clayton Smart, a loving mother to Becky Walls and Gary Smart, and a proud grandmother to Justin(Stephanie)and Christin Smart, Colton(Katelin) and Hunter Walls, and Great Grandmother to Levi Walls and Jackson Smart. Her home was always open, and she welcomed everyone with a warm smile and a heart full of love.

Geraldine had a passion for cooking and flatfooting, and she enjoyed sharing her talents with friends and family. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Geraldine will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
