Gregory "Greg" Denton Boardwine

Gregory “Greg” Denton Boardwine, 48, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026. He was born on April 11, 1978, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Margaret Gilbert Boardwine and Huey Denton Boardwine, Jr.

He was a graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School, Class of 1996, and worked as a truck driver for several years. Greg was known for being very smart and for his love of animals.

In addition to his father, Huey Denton Boardwine, Jr., he is survived by his son, Denton Michael Boardwine; his sister, Tammy Raines (Barbara); his nephew, Andrew Denton Raines (Belle); and other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Service Bassett Chapel, with Pastor Payton Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
