Gregory Scott Hudgins

Gregory Scott Hudgins, 57, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024. He was born January 13, 1967, in Danville, Virginia, to Michael Jerry Hudgins and Brenda Lavern Tate Hudgins.He is predeceased by his granny, Frances Doolin Myers.Greg was a diesel mechanic and a dedicated employee of Triple S. Trucking, Inc., where he worked for his longtime friend, Jason Swaringen for many years. He enjoyed working on Caterpillars and anything diesel. If Greg wasn’t dirty and greasy then something was wrong. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He could always make you laugh and anyone who knew Greg loved him.He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Hudgins (Matt); sons, Dylan Hudgins (Haley), and Bailey Hyler Hudgins; sister, Betty Hudgins; granddaughters, Peyton Keesler, Riley Gibson, and Karsyn Hudgins; nephews, Matt Patrick, and Blake Swiger; lifelong friends, Jeff Collins, Jody Collins, and Randy Barber; numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Ride of diesels, wreckers, big trucks and anything that Greg loved to work on, Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at the home of Brenda Hudgins, mother of Greg Hudgins, 1980 Riley Farm Road, Axton, Virginia 24054.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
