Hattie J. Trail

Hattie Jewell Lawson Trail, age 77 of Bassett, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

Hattie was born in West Virginia to Clinton Herbert Lawson and Anna Ray Dameron Lawson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patty Wilson and Yvonne Kelly.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joe Harvey Trail, two daughters, Angela Trail Poole (Marty) and Cindy Carol Shrader, grandchildren, Edward Poole, Jessica Nicole (Billy), Justin Matthew Shrader and Jessica Towler. She is also survived by her sisters, Vicky Lawson, Lisa Gann, Barbara White and one brother, Clinton "Skip" Lawson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Hattie was a co-owner of Twin River Printing. She was very proud of the 10 years working as a social worker, who loved to read, listening to all kinds of music, riding motorcycles with her husband Joe and even helping him remodel homes.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday,June 6, 2025 at 7:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Dr, Bassett, VA 24055 with Reverend Carson Williams officiating.
