Hazel Allene Janney Overfelt

Hazel Allene Janney Overfelt age 80 of Boones Mill passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at her home. She was born on December 22, 1943 a daughter of the late Dallas Ellis Mosses Janney and Mary Alice Edwards Janney. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Ellis Janney; her children, Perry Edward Overfelt, and Terry Lynn Overfelt; her former daughter-in-law, Jeana Ann Sheets who is the mother of her grandson, T.J. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Edward Eugene Overfelt; her grandson, Terry Lynn "T.J." Overfelt, Jr. (Jess); her great-grandson, Jack; great-granddaughters, Aubree and Ameri Carr and their mother, Kira Overfelt; daughter-in-law, Traci Pipes Overfelt who was like a daughter to her.A special thanks to Chris Tolley for your wonderful and loving care.Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2024, in The Underwood Family Cemetery off route 635 and on Allen Road SE, Copper Hill, VA with Pastor Rick Poland officiating.
